Le Penseur
The “Gates of Hell” from Rodin, inspired by the “Divine Comedy” from Dante Alighieri, is a monumental sculptural group work from which The Thinker was made to sit over the lintel. This door, and the violence emerging from its characters, fascinates our creator. This sculpture, which has garnered acclaim worldwide and considered amazingly well executed, depicts a well-proportioned man lost in his thoughts, in a completely introspective and negative posture. Was it the perspective of seeing humanity from the gate of hell that Rodin depicted? We, LivenLuLu, think than humanity is so much more than the internal conflict of the human being. We wanted to create our own version of what a thinker, contemplating our very existence, could be.
